Qingluan Yu · Verdant Isle

Homing, a showroom at Luxelakes Eco-City, Chengdu, designed around the light that comes off the lake. The plan moves in one direction, from the window inward. Each room holds a little less light than the one before it, and the materials change to meet what is left. Mohair near the front, where the afternoon is still full. Rawhide and leather further in. Velvet and shearling at the far end, where the light arrives late and stays low.
